Date: 13th June, 2025 | Virtual (Malaysia-focused) | Closed-Door - Internal Learning Series
We’re excited to introduce The Creatrix Exchange, a new internal learning series created to bring real voices from the field into the way we think, build, and collaborate at Creatrix. These sessions are intentionally kept closed and conversation-driven, designed just for us to listen, reflect, and stay sharp on the issues shaping our work in higher education.
Our first conversation, “Navigating Regulatory Challenges in ODL in Malaysia: Policy, Practice, and Future Directions” features a panel of leaders from institutions actively engaged in policy alignment, tech transformation, and quality assurance in ODL delivery. Their stories and strategies offer not only a reality check but also a vision for where ODL is headed next.
We’ll explore how accreditation requirements have evolved under COPPA ODL 2nd Edition, and what this means in practice—especially when designing programmes for adult and non-adult learners. One panelist will share a detailed case study from a recent Master’s-level accreditation submission, offering an inside look at what regulators are looking for post-COVID.
Technology will be a major focus, from the role of AI in documentation and delivery to how platforms like Brightspace and custom SIMs are reshaping learner engagement and institutional visibility. These aren’t just tools—they’re becoming central to how policy is implemented and outcomes are measured.
The conversation will also explore cross-border ODL: how institutions are navigating EMGS processes, supporting remote learners across time zones, and managing engagement for a global population of working professionals. With over 90% of students in some programmes being non-resident, these lessons are both timely and essential.
There will be an open discussion on policy gaps too, from the rapid growth of Foundation-level ODLs to unclear guidelines on infrastructure and automation. The panel will surface where current standards fall short and what needs to evolve.
Looking ahead, the speakers will reflect on the upcoming Malaysia Higher Education Blueprint 2026 and offer grounded recommendations, from redesigning PLOs and PEOs for distance delivery to taking a full lifecycle approach to the learner journey, from marketing to alumni support.
This is a closed-door session meant for the Creatrix team only, designed to spark internal dialogue and insight-sharing as we grow together. It’s the first of many, and we’re just getting started.
There's more to come. Stay tuned.
